We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Traffic Control Products Team. This position is responsible for performing a variety of engineering assignments including, but not limited to; create, design and redesign of products and product components from concept to manufacturing. The ideal candidate has experience with various manufacturing equipment, product structures, foundations, extrusions, wind loads, and is knowledgeable with various metals and plastics. The Mechanical Engineer also creates graphical representations of product concepts for product samples. This position works cross-functionally to coordinate the design with sales, marketing, tooling and manufacturing.
Qualifications:
- * Product design experience using various materials; metal extrusions, sheet metal, formed & injection-molded plastics.
- * Proficient in CAD software, primarily 3-D solid molding and drawing creation. Solid Works training a plus.
- * Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and minimum 3 years experience.
- * Familiarity with the traffic control industry including highway, utility and emergency responder markets a plus.
